Grihastha: Privacy Policy

Grihastha is made by One Guy Trying (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the Grihastha app handles your information.
Grihastha is a private app. It is available only to people we invite, and accounts are created by us; nobody can sign up through the app.
Your data stays yours
Grihastha handles your information only to do what you ask of it. The app stores and shows the information you choose to add, and does nothing else with it. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or use it to build profiles of you.
What the app collects
- Account information: your name and email address, used to sign you in.
- Information you add: whatever you choose to enter or send to the app. This can include financial information, images and documents, and health information. We treat financial and health information as sensitive.
- Diagnostic information: basic technical records of whether the service is working, such as errors and response times. These never include the information you add.
The app does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone or files on your phone, unless a future version asks for your permission first and this policy is updated to say so.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that run parts of the app for us, such as hosting, sign-in and message delivery providers, and only as much as each needs to do that work. Some of them may process information outside your country. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Google Play
The app is distributed through Google Play. Google may collect information about your device and how you install the app under its own privacy policy. We do not use that information.
Security
Your information is encrypted in transit and when stored, and sensitive information has an additional layer of encryption. Only you and the people you share it with in the app can see it.
Retention and deletion
We keep your information while you use the app. You can delete information you have added at any time. To have your account and all of its information deleted, email us at the address below; we will do so within 30 days, and any remaining backup copies expire automatically within one year.
Children
Grihastha is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
